Red Lake County Speech Team hosts Plummer Lions Speech Meet

The Red Lake County Speech Team hosted the Plummer Lions Speech Meet once again this year on Saturday, March 24. This year there were nine schools that participated. There were approximately 130 entries in various categories. In speech there are 20 different categories to perform in.
Results from the meet for RLCC were AJ Jones got a red ribbon in Prose. Lily Guillimette got first place and Jayden Iverson got a red ribbon in Poetry. David Clifton got a Blue Ribbon in Inform. Mariah Peterson got second place in Humor. Sydney Melby got second place and Remi Rathsack got fifth place in Great Speeches. Lane Renner and Sage Hartman got a red ribbon in Duo. Phillip Sorenson got fifth place in Discussion and Jayden Fore got sixth place in Creative Expression.
Out of the nine schools the Red Lake County Speech Team came in fifth place overall.
The Plummer Lions have been sponsoring the home meets for 13 years. They provide the medals and ribbons which are given to those placing in each category. The speech team is coached by Ms. Jessie Hamrum and Mrs. Bobbi Aakhus.
