RLCC announces November Students of the Month

Sydney Melby is the Senior High November Student of the Month for Red Lake County Central. She is in 12th grade and she is 17 years old. She was nominated by Mr. Randy Huie who said, “She is a strong academic student. She is hard working in and out of class, a great leader in RLCC’s Student Senate, and excels in theater and music performances.” Her parents are Isaac and Marcella Melby and her younger sister is Karena Melby. She is the president of Student Senate and is involved in activities such as one act and three act plays, speech and Knowledge Bowl. Sydney enjoys singing and playing guitar.

Jed Duden was nominated for November Student of the Month at RLCC by Mrs. Patty Mickelson. He is in eighth grade, thirteen years old, and the son of Rodney and Jody Duden. Jed has a brother Connor Duden. He is involved in trap, basketball, and football. He enjoys hunting, adventuring, fishing, and trapping in his free time. 

Mrs. Mickelson said that he is a person who will help classmates and staff, is a hard worker, and does really well in the classrooms. “Jed is a student that excels in many different areas.” She also said he is involved in a lot of different activities.
