Holiday Train Food Shelf drive successful

The two food shelfs of Red Lake County would like to say thank you to all who helped make the Holiday Train stop in Plummer a success.
Inter-County Community Council held a freewill donation light lunch of hot dogs and chips at the Plummer Hall and collected $1,145 serving over 400 people.
Together as a community they collected 696 pounds of food that is shared between the Red Lake Falls food shelf and the Inter-County Community Council food shelf.
None of this would be possible with out the wonderful help and support of the Canadian Pacific Holiday Train, Tri-River Museum, the city of Plummer, the Lions, the Lions Too, Red Lake County Sheriff’s office, Plummer Fire Department, RLCC School and busses, RLCC honors choir lead by Krista Bernstein, DeeAnn Eskeli for helping with the food and all the people who donated or volunteered their time. Lots of great, magical memories were made!
If you weren’t able to make it to the Holiday train but still want to contribute non-perishable food donations can be dropped off all year round at ICCC in Oklee.  Monetary donations can be sent to ICCC PO Box 189, Oklee MN 56742. Or sent to Sheila Reich, Red Lake Falls Food Shelf Treasurer at 15475 110th Avenue SW Red Lake Falls, MN 56750.
Your generous support to your local Red Lake County Food Shelves, it is greatly appreciated!
The entertainment part of the evening was great with Terri Clark, Dallas Smith and Kelly Prescott putting on a fun show for all ages.
Dallas Smith was popular with the younger crowd when he got down and started bumping knuckles with the youth, making them feel special.
Kelly Prescott had lots of energy and got the large crowd of people ready to party on the streets of Plummer.
Terri Clark was the most recognizable name to the adults of the ninety's. She sang a couple numbers that were hits and well remember by the crowd.
Catherine Johnson, director of Inter County Community Council was on stage to accept a check from Canadian Pacific Railroad's Holiday Train which raises awareness and funds for local food shelfs across the county.
It was a fun evening of entertainment and a great way  to help your community.
