June Schmunk of Gonvick was honored with the Presidents trophy. She has been doing a lot of work for the Pumpkin Growers Association. She will be moving to the Twin Cities and hopefully will be able to come back for Pumpkin Day next year as well. With June are Tucker Johnson and Bob Edevold.

Alex Churness was the winner of the Bowl Off contest that was held at the Northern Bait and Convenience. People were able to stop in at NB & C from September 18 to September 30 to take part in the game. It had a variety of goodies plus a cooler.

Pumpkin Day in Gonvick attracted a large crowd for the drawings for kids and adults.

The Line up! 1108 pound was the largest but with a crack it was disqualified. It was was grown by JJ Solberg and his family of Gonvick.

Neil Bursheim of McIntosh had his decked out 1956 Plymouth Savoy in the Gonvick Pumpkin Day car show. He was awarded the Peoples Choice Trophy.

The lucky winners of the Gonvick Pumpkin Day Car Show were announced on Saturday, September 30. Each car show participant received a ballot to vote for the top five cars of their choice. The ballots were tabulated and the top five vote getters received $100 each. Money for the event was sponsored by the Gonvick Diamond Jubilee Committee.

Winners included David Hagen from St. Hilaire with his 1948 Rat Rod; Larry Anderson, Gully with his 1955 Buick Riviera Super Coupe; Arden Niemi from Felton with his 1964 Galaxy; Jerry Lowe Jr. from Grand Forks with his 1966 GTO Convertible and Mike and Mary St. George from Bagley with their 1937 Ford. They also received a trophy with their cash prize.

Neil Bursheim of McIntosh received the Peoples Choice Award with his 1956 Plymouth Savoy. He received a trophy and a gift. Steve Ballards art work was shown on the inside of his motor.
