Spotlight on Scholarship recognition at Red Lake County Central High School

The Minnesota State High School League recently awarded 57 Spotlight on Scholarship certificates to Red Lake County Central High School students in grades 9-12 for their achievements in the classroom and their participation in fine arts and athletics during the spring of 2017.
Spotlight on Scholarship recognizes students with academic success and is a program sponsored by the Minnesota State High School League. The program annually awards certificates to students who participate in MSHSL activities and who have a 3.0 or higher grade point average. Students must be a player of the varsity squad athletics or fine arts team. Students in grades seven through nine who are on varsity team are also eligible for this award.
Trap team members who received Spotlight on Scholarship were: Adam Cater, Sarah Christensen, Jedidiah Duden, Tristyn Ferguson, Noah Hanson, Skylar Longtin, Seth Paradis, and Ethan Vettleson.
Spotlight on Scholarship certificates were given to these members of the track team: Britain Arlt, Julia Bernstein, Adrianne Jones, Christopher Longtin, Brody Moen, Kjerstin Nelson, Nicholas Pahlen, Zoe Russillo, and Abigail Walton.
Receiving Spotlight on Scholarship certificates for softball were Calyssa Eskeli, Lily Guillemette, Sydnie Gunderson, Jayden Iverson, Sophia Linder, Sidney Olson, Jenna Pahlen, and Lacey Pendelton.
Baseball Spotlight on Scholarship certificates were given to Zachary Benson, Andrew Fish, Derek Peterson, Phillip Sorenson, Adrien Verbout, Ethan Vettleson, Matthew Vettleson, and Brock Tvedt.
Speech team members who earned Spotlight on Scholarship certificates included Lillyan Guillemette, Lillian Hanson, Jayden Iverson, Skylar Longtin, Sydney Melby, Jade Person, Jeremiah Rathsack, Jonathan Roue, Sara Simon, Phillip Sorenson, and Halie Thompson.
Band and choir members who were eligible for Spotlight on Scholarship certificates included Brandie DeHate, Marie Johnson, Adrianne Jones, Hannah Kolstoe, Kara Longtin, Sydney Melby, Katie Olson, Sidney Olson, Nicholas Pahlen, Lacey Pendelton, Phillip Sorenson, and Abigail Walton.
