Oklee Welcomes New Postal Carrier

Oklee would like to welcome Postal Carrier, Pete Howard. Pete is from the Fosston area and has been the Postal Carriere for Oklee for 1 year. Before Pete became a Postal Carrier he worked with his dad in a drywall business.
This is Pete’s first full time postal carrier job. He has been a sub for 12 years in towns like Fosston, McIntosh, and Erskine. Some of the things that Pete does as a Carrier are sort the mail in the post office, pack it up, he then loads it up into his vehicle, and then heads out to his route.
When asked what he likes about his job he said that he like being outside. He also likes driving in the country and he enjoys driving. Weather can shut down schools and roads, so I asked what has been the worst weather he has been in and Pete said the snow storms.
Some stories Pete shared with me about being on his route were that sometimes there would be airplanes landing on the road, having there be dogs when he delivers mail, and the different animals he sees on his route.
We would like to welcome him to Oklee and we hope he has a good experience as the Postal Carrier for Oklee.
