Bears advance to State track meet this Friday and Saturday

Great day for the Bears at the Section 8A Track and Field meet last Saturday!
The Bears had fourteen athletes competing at the meet. - Participants included - Nathanael Dahl (shot and disc), Judah Bennett (shot and disc), Levi Nelson (shot), Ethan Dorman (4x200, 200, High Jump, Triple Jump), Jared Hubbard (4x200, 400, Long Jump), Josiah Hubbard (4x200, High Jump), Hunter Ehlers (Long Jump, Triple Jump), Tristan Bakke (4x200), Damen Bakke (100), Jonny Hamnes (100), Jenni Lavin (200, 400), Jackielynn Taflin (800), Arabella Corey (100), Danae Stenzel (shot).
Advancing to State with a school record time was the boys 4x200 team made up of Tristan Bakke, Jared Hubbard, Josiah Hubbard, and Ethan Dorman. Their first place time was 1:33.38.
Also setting a school record was set by Jenni Lavin in the 400 meter dash. Her time was 1:01.37.
Others placing at the meet included: Ethan Dorman - 3rd place in the High Jump, 5th place in the Triple Jump and 4th place in the 200 meter dash.
Jackielynn Taflin - 3rd place in the 800 with a time of 2:32.14
The boys 4 x 200 team will be competing at the State Track and Field Meet on Friday, June 9th and 10th at Hamline University.
