Obituary for Dustin Bergh

Dustin Frank Bergh passed away on Sunday, March 5, 2017, at the age of 23 surrounded by family, at Mayo Methodist Hospital. Dustin was born on September 14, 1993, to Charles Bergh and Julie George in Edina, MN. 
Dustin grew up in the country appreciating the outdoor life in Milaca. He enjoyed many hours working on projects with his father and brother Geoff. He loved go-cart racing and making tree forts. When he turned 12, he completed gun safety and discovered hunting and target practice. Dustin had a passion for paintball challenges, fishing, making fireworks and he continued to hunt each year. 
Dustin was a member of the National Honor Society and musically talented in symphony and pep band. He participated on the cross country team and in youth group at Milaca Evangelical Free Church. Dustin graduated from Milaca High School in 2012. He continued his education at the University of Northwestern - St. Paul in the Nursing Program. His summer jobs included working on the natural gas pipeline with Charles and he was also a CNA for ACR Homes. In 2016, he was advancing his medical experience as a phlebotomist at BioLife. 
While attending college he fell in love with Hannah Carter. They were united in marriage on November 5, 2016. Shortly before their wedding Dustin was diagnosed with a rare form of sarcoma. Dustin endorsed a positive mindset and courageous hope during his treatments. Dustin was an inspiration of faith to everyone he knew. He gave 110% in life and never less. 
His favorite pastimes included time with family and friends, jogging, hunting, reading his Bible, making others laugh and fixing whatever was broken. He learned sign language in high school and continued to sign “I love you” throughout his life. 
Dustin is survived by his wife, Hannah Bergh; parents, Charles Bergh and Barb and Julie Bergh and Mike Anderson; siblings, Geoff (Brittany) George, Zach Sears, Nicci Sears; father and mother-in-law, Doug and Susan Carter; Hannah’s siblings; Brooke (Jason) Finch, Tabitha (Nick) Santee, Rebekah, Lydia, Joseph and Elizabeth 
as well as his grandparents, Frank and Annie Bergh; aunts, Patty (Jim) Beardsley, Janet (Rob) Thompson, Connie Solberg, uncle Wayne Bergh, many cousins and many close friends. 
Dustin was preceded in death by his brother, Ryan Bergh; uncle, Brian Gunning. 
A memorial service for Dustin F. Bergh was held on March 10, at Real Life Church, Roseville, MN. Family Interment was on March 11, 2017 at the Forest Hill Cemetery in Milaca, MN. 
Dustin’s favorite verse Psalm 91: 11 For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. What an angel he is.
