D.A.R.E. graduates from Bagley and Clearbrook-Gonvick Public Schools

The Clearwater County Sheriff’s Office is proud to announce the graduation of approximately 115 fifth grade students from the Clearwater County DARE program. The students are from both the Bagley and Clearbrook/Gonvick schools.  

 

Clearwater County Sheriff Darin Halverson is the DARE instructor and this was his 19th year of teaching DARE.  The DARE program is designed to teach children to make healthy, wise decisions and also talks about bullying and what students can do to help stop it or what to do if it is happening to them.  “It is really important to teach kids how to make good choices so that they don’t go down the wrong path in life,” stated Sheriff Halverson.  “I am very proud of the DARE graduates this year and look forward to seeing them grow and become good citizens,” added Halverson.  The DARE program is taught in schools nationwide and has been in existence since 1985.
