Meet Clearbrook-Gonvick student teacher James Bettin

James Bettin has been greeting the students at Clearbrook-Gonvick since January. He is the student teacher under John Lavin and Gus Vettleson and will complete his assignment on April 24.
James is a Senior at Bemidji State University in Math Education and will graduate on May 8. He has been teaching two classes of Geography, two of Algebra 1, one class of Algebra 2 as well as a robotics class.
He is a 2010 graduate of Blackduck High School and in the future he would like to stay in northern Minnesota.
He stated that the kids are great in the school district. He was also amazed how friendly everyone is at the school. On his first morning when he was walking down the hall he was greeted several times.
