Haack is at it again

Jared Haack, Grygla 8th grader, son of Jeremy and Tonia, has won the Grygla Spelling Bee for the 2nd year in a row.
The classroom was quiet, the tension was mounting, not even a buzz of the bee was heard as the annual Grygla Spelling Bee was in progress.
Last Wednesday, January 18th, twelve students from 5th-8th grade advanced from the classroom Spelling Bee to the Grygla District Spelling Bee.
Students participating at the District level were the following: Callie Loken, Chelsie Nelson, Gracie Lunsetter, Clayton Suchoski, Ahna Stanly, Ellie Sabourin, Jamie Dougherty, Tatum Carrlson, Devon Dickson, Jared Haack, Nolan Anderson and Chloe Osse.
District winners advance to Regionals at Northland Community & Technical College in Thief River Falls on February 8th. Grygla’s champion, Jared Haack, won with the word “quashed.” The alternate is Tatum Carrlson with third place going to Gracie Lunsetter.
Cash prizes were awarded to participants in each grade.
The Goodirdge Spelling Bee will be held this Thursday, January 26th, at 2pm.
