December Students of the Month

Student of the Month for the senior high was Megan Berberich who was nominated by Mr. Mike Swenson. Berberich is in the 12th grade and age 18. She has two sisters, Alexis and Taylor Berberich. Her parents are Samantha and Justin Lunsetter, and Corey Berberich. 

Berberich is involved in volleyball and softball, Student Senate, Knowledge Bowl, and Minnesota Association of Honor Societies. Her hobbies are fishing, kayaking, and being with family and friends. Some comments from Mr. Swenson were, “She is an excellent athlete and is one of the top students in her class and has taken over 35 college credits.” He also commented she has passed several of the medical exams for her job and works hard to meet her goals. Swenson stated, “Berberich has known what she wants out of life and is working hard to meet those goals.”

The junior high Student of the Month for December was Taya Morinville. She was nominated by Mrs. Bobbi Aakhus. Morinville is in seventh grade and is 13 years old. Her parents are Nick and Stephanie Morinville, and she has one sister Kya. She enjoys spending time with her family, crafting, and baking. Morinville is involved in volleyball, Student Senate, and softball. Aakhus stated, “Taya is a good student, who works hard. She’s a great classmate who is helpful to teachers and other students.” Aakhus also commented that Morinville helps make the classroom positive with her “great smile.”
