The VFW Ladies Auxiliary in McIntosh hosted the Veterans Day program held in the afternoon on Friday, November 11th at McIntosh Senior Living. Some of the Veterans honored during the Win-E-Mac program last Friday were (l-r), Craig Espeseth, Gary Sonstelie, Leroy Johnson, and Reverand Gerald White. Students, staff and community members honored our Veterans last Friday during a program at Win-E-Mac School. The residents at McIntosh Senior Living enjoyed the Veterans Day program hosted by the Ladies VFW Auxiliary last Friday. Allen Jenson and Travis Kolden each received a Quilt of Valor during the Veteran’s Day program held at Win-E-Mac last Friday. The local QOV ladies have made and distributed 30 quilts thus far. Each year the Veterans and Win-E-Mac students have a flag folding ceremony along with a presentation of the flag to WEM Principal, Kevin McKeever, for the school. Connie Strom and Lois Bohrneson are part of the ladies who sew and distribute the Quilts of Valor in our communities. These ladies have, so far, made and given away 30 quilts to our local veterans. During the Veterans Day program at Win-E-Mac School last Friday, the 4-6 grade Choir performed “Thank You Veterans”, by Teresa Jennings.
