Red Lake County Central High School presents “While The Lights Were Out”
The three act mystery comedy "While The Lights Were Out," by Jack Sharkey will be presented to the public at 7:30 p.m. April 10th, 11th and 12th in the Red Lake County Central High School gymnasium. This play is brought to Oklee by special arrangement with Samuel French, Inc.
The play takes place on Bermuda and the rich British family, the Wickenhams are having a bit of a row with the miserly head of the family, Lord Clive Wickenham (Tom Nelson), ruling his castle with an iron hand pushing his family, Algernon (Nick Pahlen) and his young wife Monica (Kjersten Walton) to comtemplate murder. Or should I say murders...After all if one murder occurs, why not two-three???? A good idea deserves to be copied.
As guests arrive, so does the inept policeman Chief Inspector Benjamin Braddock (Ric Ven Auman) who would have a difficult time tracking down a jaywalker much less a cold-blooded murderer but he was smart enough to hire his aid, Alma Threedle (Miranda Magnell) whose genius at observation rivals Hercule Poirot. The guests arrive with world famous fashion designer Bibi Cavendish (Tera Qualley), Pierre Pouree (Sydney Melby), her former fiancee, Fredonia Custardine (Kara Longtin), her adopted daughter Chloe (Hannah Kolstoe) and the southern belle, Jasmine Perdoo (Erin Jones).
The rest of the houshold try to keep everything running smoothly. Remley (Jade Person) has to pick up bodies, Mimosa (Natalie Aakhus) gets to scream. Nancy Stafford (DeDe Walton) hates her boss until a summer storm hits and the lights do go out...a scream, a gunshot, a strange woman standing with a bloody knife above a fresh warm corpse.
A real WhoDunIt! Inspector Braddock can't wait to start inspecting, while the rest of the guests and household orders another drink and ignores the newly slain body...of...Now that would be telling!!!
Join us on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, April 10-12 for a fun evening of oohs and laughs. Admission for "While The Lights Were Out" is $5.00 for 7th grade to adult and $3.00 for 1st grade to 6th grade.
