Homecoming for Grygla/Goodridge

Next week, September 19th-23rd, is Homecoming for Grygla and Goodridge Schools. Coronation will be held at both schools on Monday; Goodridge will hold theirs on the 19th at 3pm in the afternoon, while Grygla will hold theirs that evening at 7pm.
The Goodridge Homecoming theme this year is “Homegrown”. Senior candidates are Blaine Kriel and Kayla Walseth, Tyler Stinar and Ashlyn Henrickson, Dylan Walker and Brooke Anderson. Junior attendants are Dylan Manderud and Keanna Arndt. Sophomore attendants are Justin Anderson and Kaylee Amundson. First grade attendants are Freddie Sorensen & Lilly Ann Smith.
Dress-up days at the Good-ridge School will be: Monday PJ Day, Tuesday Jersey Day, Wednesday USA Day, Thursday Trash & Clash Day and Friday Spirit Day.
The theme for Grygla’s Homecoming is “A Moment in Time”. Senior royal candidates are Alison Satre and Michael Jelen, Ashley Moe and Ryce Skime, Tanner Anderson and Kaitlyn Olson. Junior attendants are Trystan Jelle and Cooper Blazek. Sophomore attendants are Abby Kiesow and Anthony Loken. First grade attendants are Haedynn Boutain and Evan Grindahl. Again, Coronation will be held at 7pm Monday the 19th with Carlye Kiesow and Julianne Nordby emceeing. Following coronation, there will be a movie (yet to be determined) on the football field for students and anyone in the community to attend!
Dress-up days at the Grygla School will be: Monday PJ Day, Tuesday Fake an Injury Day, Wednesday Where’s Waldo Day, Thursday Decade Day and Friday Spirit Day.
The 2016 Homecoming Volleyball game is on the calendar for Thursday, September 22nd, where the Chargers will host Warroad in Goodridge. Friday the 23rd will be the Homecoming football game in Grygla vs. Clearbrook/Gonvick with the Grygla Merchant’s hosting their annual tailgate party prior to the game. At halftime of the game, the 25-year anniversary of the 1991 Blue Devil State Runners-Up team will be honored, along with the other state tournament teams (’89, ’10 and ’12). After the Homecoming game, appetizers will be served at Yo-Hawn’s for those interested.
Students at both schools have set up various activities and games to be held throughout the week and will also hold a pep fest before Friday’s big game. To cap off the eventful week, a dance will be held for Grygla and Goodridge High School students at the Grygla School from 9pm-midnight.
