Services pending for Eugene Pond

Eugene Pond 73 of Clearbrook, MN died on Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at his residence near Clearbrook.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. The Cease Family Funeral Home of Bagley assisted the family with the arrangements.

Eugene was born September 22, 1941 in Bagley, Minnesota the son Ernest and Edna Pond. He attended country schools and the Bagley school. He was employed by Arctic Cat in Clearbrook, Clearwater Wild Rice, Bagley Hardwoods, and worked as a self-employed logger. Eugene liked to fish, hunt, and garden.

He married Mary Jane Olson and they resided in Holst Township.

Survivors include- his wife- Mary Jane of Clearbrook, MN

Daughter- Tracy (Patrick) Zittel of Cottage Grove, MN and grandchildren- Tyler, Danielle, and Emily Zittel of Cottage Grove

Son- Troy Pond of Clearbrook, MN and grandchildren- Tierney Backus of Virginia Beach, Virginia and Thoren Pond of Norfolk, Virginia. Both in the Navy

One Great Grandson- Erikson Backus

Sisters- Jeanette Klasse, JoAnn Rongstad, Florence Johnson, Marjorie Ekre,

Virginia Madore, and Donna Olson

Brothers- Curtis Pond and Harold Pond

He was preceded in death by a granddaughter- Melissa Zittel, his parents, two brothers, and one sister.
