Laurie Jean Hanson 56 of Bagley, MN died on Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at the Sanford Medical Center in Fargo, North Dakota.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 30, 2015 at 1:00 PM at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Leonard, MN with Rev. Robert Kirchman officiating. Visitation will be on Sunday from 5-7 PM at the Cease Family Funeral Home in Bagley and at the church one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at the Norway Lake Cemetery in Leonard. The Cease Family Funeral Home of Bagley assisted the family with the arrangements.
Laurie was born May 15, 1958 in Bagley, Minnesota the daughter of Gilmer and Helen (George) Gulbranson. She was raised at Leonard and graduated from Clearbrook High School in 1977. She worked as a certified nursing assistant at the Good Samaritan Center in Clearbrook for 37 years retiring in October of 2014.
She married Jerry Hanson on August 18, 1979 in Leonard.
Laurie enjoyed ceramics, taking pictures, raising flowers, and enjoying her dogs and cats.
Survivors include- Her Husband- Jerry Hanson of Bagley, MN. Foster son- Brandon Caveness who was the highlight of her life. She never missed a hockey game and adored his 3 little boys. Siblings- Donna (Gordy) Solberg, Alice Cassibo, Sharon Lang (Jim), Karen Jorgenson, Gilmer (Bonnie) Gulbranson, Gary (Alice) Gulbranson, Steven (Linda) Gulbranson, Robert Gulbranson, Sandra (Rich) Dombeck, Nancy (Byron) Edevold, Tammye (Mike) Cleveland, Aunts- Donna Wendlandt, Beverly Lundmark, Marilyn Emery, Caroline George, Uncle- Milton George. Nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 cousins, 2 infant brothers, and a sister- Irene.
