Services for Laurel Oliver Hagen

Laurel Oliver Hagen, 78, of Clearbrook, MN died on Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at the Veteran’s Hospital in Fargo, ND. 

 

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, July 9, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at the Grace Free Lutheran Church in Bagley, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at the church. Interment will be the Silver Creek Cemetery in Clearbrook, MN. The Cease Family Funeral Home of Bagley assisted the family with arrangements. 

 

Laurel was born on August 13, 2016 in Clearbrook, Minnesota the son of Oliver and Juletta (Richards) Hagen.  Laurel grew up and attended school in Clearbrook graduating in 1954, after one  year of college, he began serving our country in the Air Force and was honorably discharged in 1959.  He married Adeline Hagen on July 30, 1960.  They made their home in Seattle where he was an inspector for Boeing Airplanes.  He later married Anita Beverly Howe on August 9, 1986 and they made their home in Grand Forks, ND where he worked as a Hospital Dietician.  After his retirement, he moved to Clearbrook and lived with his parents.  He has lived in several places since, but always called Clearbrook his home.  Laurel was a very spiritual man and loved the Lord very much.  He enjoyed putting photos into collages and loved traveling.  

 

He is survived by his brother – Richard (Linda) Hagen of New Hope, MN

Brother – Robert (Dale) Hagen of Tennessee

Step-children – Rodney Layne Hoel, Loretta Christine Hoel, Lauren Ashley Blaufuss, Ramona Joy Blaufuss, Jonathon Matthew Blaufuss and Kathleen Anita Blaufuss.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother – Marlen and his two wives – Adeline and Anita.
