Pearl and her husband Bud Watne lived on a farm north of Gully. They bought that property in 1945 from Arthus Hovels-rud and they farmed for 50 years. Pearl also worked at various jobs including Oklee Manufacturing Company, Arctic Cat and Winsor Lefse. Her husband passed away at the age of 70 in March of 1994. She moved off the farm in 2008 to the Brookfield Apartments in Clearbrook before becoming a resident of the Good Samaritan Center.
