On Sunday night, the Relay For Life team Kamp Kenneth, held a evening of food and fun. The food was Klub, a Norwegian specialty enjoyed my many in the area.
The fun was a concert held after the good food, was the musical talents of North Country Gospel group.
The evening began at 5:30 p.m. with a delicous meal of two klub, served with ham, and your choice of toppings (butter, cream, or syrup) and a large selection of delicious bars to chose from as your dessert. Coffee, lemonaid or milk for beverages also. Approximately 130 meals were served in the Vernes Lutheran Church dinning room.
After the meal, at 7:30 p.m. about 60 persons gathered in the sanctury to enjoy the talents of North County Gospel group. Members of the group are Steve Rasmusson, Gary Johannesohn, Tim Johnson and Ann Johnson.
They sang a variety of gospel songs to begin the evening. Some were good old favoriters, and some were new to the audience. They ended the evening with some good old fashioned country music and also honored the veteran's that were at the show.
