January Students of the Month

Red Lake County Central High School in Oklee recently announced two students named as the January Students of the Month. They are Devin Lambert and Marie Johnson.
The RLCC Senior High Student of the Month was Devin Lambert, a senior who is 17 years old. His parents are Scott and Shannon Lambert, his siblings are Conner, Carson, Reese, Benjamin, and Alden Lambert. He is involved with football, basketball, track, and Student Senate. His hobbies include hanging out with friends and sleeping.
The teacher who nominated Lambert was Mr. Randy Huie. He said Lambert is a strong academic student with having A grades in all classes. He has aced four out of seven tests this year in Economics. He is a strong student leader. Huie added, “Devin is a true team player on the RLC basketball team by accepting his role on the team and playing time. He exhibits true character. Devin has represented our school, community, his family, and our Track and Field team this past summer by going to Australia to compete for the Team USA in the Down Under Track and Field competition.”
RLCC’s Junior High Student of the Month for January was Marie Johnson. She is in 9th grade and 15 years old. Her parents are Pam and Jeff Johnson and she has one sibling, Seth Johnson. Her school activities are basketball and band. Some of her hobbies are playing basketball, taking pictures, and fishing with her dad in the summer.
The nominating teacher was Mr. Michael Swenson. He stated that Johnson is a student who does her best in each of her classes as well as in sports. She pushes herself to do her very best. “Marie is quietly sure of herself and budgets her time very well. She is quick to smile and works well with her classmates.”
