Marvelous Mosaics enjoyed by many children

The Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE) had a fun night at the Clear Waters Life Center in Gonvick. The children took part  in Marvelous Mosaics and painting. Each child made a hanging mosaic and a wind chime to take home. Becky Dorman with Clear Waters Life Center had the site available for the class to come in for the fun.
ECFE is a program for all Minnesota families with children between the ages of birth to kindergarten. The program is offered through Minnesota public school districts. Two Clearbrook-Gonvick School staff members Stacie Petterson and Andrea Churness made arrangements to have the class at the center in Gonvick.
The ECFE newsletter that was sent out in the area school district states what a typical ECFE class includes.
Parent-Child Activity Time: Families explore the classroom, play and do learning activities planned by licensed early childhood teachers.
Parent Discussion Time: Parents and the parent facilitator meet and share information, ideas and experiences about child development, parenting and current issues.
Children’s Activity Time: When parents have their discussion time the children have a snack with the licensed Early Childhood Teacher, and then have time to play, learn and interact with each other.
