Exciting New Recreation Project in Clearbrook!

The City of Clearbrook is launching a three-phase campaign to enhance the recreation and outdoor experience within the community.
In Phase One, an accessible and up-to-date playground will be built between the community pool and recently renovated Clearbrook Depot. The playground will offer a safe outdoor play space for the children in our community. Creating a year-round facility will allow our children to thrive and enhance our community.
Phase Two will introduce walking & biking trails that will connect the playground, the Clearbrook-Gonvick school, the Clearbrook Veteran’s Memorial, and the City of Clearbrook. These trails will provide recreational and health benefits for the entire community. All ages will be able to enjoy a safe route to bike and walk. These trails will also provide a safe path for our children to travel between Clearbrook and the Clearbrook-Gonvick School.
Phase Three will consist of the development of the area around the Clearbrook pond. Fishing docks and recreational areas will be built allowing for gatherings and community events. Also, there will be a great opportunity for our children and community members to gather and enjoy the pond whether fishing, skipping rocks, ice-skating, and more.
Our local Clearbrook-Gonvick Early Childhood Initiative is kicking off the initial launch of the project by donating $15,000 to Phase One. This is a fantastic beginning to our fundraising efforts. The estimated cost of Phase One is $48,000. The City of Clearbrook and several community members have formed the Clearbrook Recreation Initiative. This initiative is working to find funding through additional grants, state and federal funding, and local fundraising.
