Watch out Santa is coming
Santa Claus Day is coming December 5
Santa and Mrs. Claus will be making their appearance in Gonvick on Saturday, December 5.
Children 0 to 12 can come to the old school gym (Clear Waters Life Center) in Gonvick for games, treats and to see Santa and Mrs. Claus. Doors open from 1:30 to 2:30.
Coffee and goodies will be served at the Gonvick Community Center with a chance to win a turkey. Sign up will be at the center starting at 2:00 p.m.with drawing at 3:00 p.m.
There will be a goodie walk and donations of cookies or snacks are welcome. They can be brought to the school on Friday night when the event is being set up or in the morning before Santa gets there.
Clearbrook Santa Claus Day set for December 5
$1,200 in Trade Bucks will be drawn this year for those attending the Clearbrook Santa Claus Day festivities, which is set for Saturday, December 5th. You will be able to register to win at four locations, North Country Hardware, Bakken’s. Y92 and the Clearbrook/Leonard Senior Center (you must be 18 years and older, one winner per person for each drawing). Drawings will be held for 3-$100 winners, 12-$50 winners and 12-$25 winners starting at 3:00 p.m. at the Senior Center. (You must be present to win). The trade Bucks can be redeemed at any Clearbrook business and will have a December 31, 2015 deadline to be used.
The Annual Clearwater Quilt Show will be held at the Roxy Theater from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. with beautiful quilts on display, vendors, refreshments, drawings and a quilt raffle. Admission is free.
A "Free" Santa Claus Christmas lunch will be held at the Clearbrook/Leonard Senior Center from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Everyone is welcome.
The Arts & Crafts Show will be held at the Clearbrook Community Center in the Wes Westrum Gym with over 50 vendors on hand from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
In the Banquet Room at the Clearbrook Community Center a Depot Renovation Fund raiser will be held starting at 10:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. serving soup, bars and beverages.
Christmas Craft activities will be held at the Gathering Place (the small gym at the old school) for young people of all ages and will start at 11:00 a.m.
Santa will make his appearance at 1:00 p.m. in the small gym to visit with kids, take pictures and hand out treats.
