NELL presents: Cruise along the Danube River of Europe with Linda Nordlund

Come along again & travel with Linda Nordlund on the Danube River, exploring the countries of Hungary, Slovakia, Austria, Germany & the Czech Republic. Learn about their culture & rich history; some of these countries have endured the hardships of 40 years of communist control. Along the way we visit palaces, castles, Slovakia’s whimsical sculptures, and beautiful landscapes such as the Wachau Valley. You will experience the charming “fairylike” town of Cesky Krumlov, the cobblestone streets of Regensburg, Germany known for their Stone Bridge centuries old as well as their Sausage Kitchen, notable for feeding the masons who built the Stone Bridge. See the fascinating architecture of cities like Vienna, Austria & Prague, Czech Republic known as the “City of a Hundred Spires”.

Linda is a retired elementary school teacher who combines her love of photography with detailed information & history about the places she has visited.

Northern Exposure will host this travel adventure program on Wednesday October 7 at the Good Shepherd Church in Clearbrook.  Program begins at 9:30; doors open at 9am with refreshments available.

NELL programs are free of charge and open to all ages.
