The Clearbrook City Council met in regular session on Monday, September 14, 2026.
The minutes of the August 10 meeting were approved.
Kevin Prosser reported on the building project that will be built across the street from the Community Center. Paul Ehlers of Clearbrook is the builder. Water and sewer is hooked up. The rafters would be up September 23. They are ordering desks, cabinets and kitchen cabinets from Laura.
Police Report from Ryan Solee included 31 records. They were 911 Hang Up 2; Civil Complaint 1; Disorderly 1; Disorderly Juvenile 1; Disturbance 3; Extra Patrol 1; Harassment Threats 1; Information Only Civil 1; Information Only Juvenile 1; Juvenile Misc with Missing or Lost Person 1; Lost and Found Property 1; Medical 3; Motorist Assist 1; Noise Complaint 1; Runaway 1; Suspicious Activity 1; Theft 1; Theft - Civic Complaint 1; Traffic Complaint 2; Traffic Stop 1; Vehicle Lock Out 1; Warrant Arrest 1; Warrant – Attempt to Arrest 1; Welfare Check 1; Welfare Check Juvenile 1.
Ryan Rude, the Clearbrook Fire Department Chief, was at the firemen’s meeting. Tom Davis gave updates that the department had a few medicals. The Fall Banquet is October 17 and there are tickets available from firemen for the event. Doug Moe is a probationary member of the department.
Karra Weems report from the Municipal Liquor Store included a profit for the month of $6,792.34. They plan Karaoke for the First Friday in October. She is looking for a DJ for Halloween and has not come up with one yet.
Utilities & Maintenance with Mark Snobl. The council approved $8,648.00 from the sewer fund for preventative maintenance on the three ponds. Work will be done by Team Laboratory with wastewater treatment solutions to help control plants. This will be done before winter season.
Lucie Thompson City Clerk gave her report with no progress yet on Music on Main Street. The pool is empty and the liner has been ordered. It takes 3 to 4 days for cure time depending on the weather.
Kloster Park would like to have a movie night. Plans are in the works to go ahead. The Clearbrook Community Club met and were looking at a long-term project to completely rehabilitate the buildings at Kloster Park. They would start to save up money to do a project on the concession stand and other areas.
The maintenance crew was given permission to cut down the trees at the lift station.
The garbage option was still being looked at.
Summer help will soon be done.
They discussed the preliminary 2026 tax levy collectible in 2027 at $285,000. That was put on hold for the agenda next month.
Resolution 2026-13 was accepted with $330.00 from Charlotte Stoker for Beautification of Clearbrook in Memory of Sue Voxland. $1,685.00 donation to the Clearbrook Community Pool from the Bingo Fundraiser that was held at Summerfest. $500.00 from the Border Bank for Improvements at Kloster Park and $1,500.00 from Red Letter Financial Group in Bagley for Improvements at Kloster Park.
Monthly Claims of $80,626.52 and Additional Claims of $175,963.01 were approved.
