New Vendors at Bagley’s Farmers Market
The threat of another smoke filled day, the late start of spring, or the recent hot windy weather could account for some of the regular anchor vendors of the Bagley’s Farmers Market to for-go the Friday afternoon ritual summers bring to to Bagley. Yet that didn’t stop four new vendors who had never before attended the Bagley Farmers Market.
Mhedz Shear and her son (Bear Park Gardens, Bejou, MN) came with their own mini farmers market. The had everything from baked good, freeze dried candy, canned vegetables, jams to a wide range of fresh vegetables.
Anna Mayer (Bagley) along with her children attended the market for the very first time. During the school year she is the elementary music teacher. She baked an assortment of breads; chocolate, cinnamon, and sourdough, along with other items. With some market experience to build on, she plans to return with different breads, jams, scones, churros, and maple glazed nuts.
Tricia Horn, a stay at home mom from Gonvick, brought a plethora of Quail Eggs!!! This one maybe a first, maybe! Additionally she had quail egg shell cracker. A device shaped like scissors to crack the shell yet preserving the yolk. She brought her two children.
Ms T Freeze Dried Goodies returned for her second Bagley Farmers Market. The array of freeze dried candy is astonishing! Additionally, Trefenas Oceans & More Jewelry. Necklaces and earrings she designed.
Friday, 17 July, was only week two of the Bagley Farmers Market. These four vendors indicated they intend to return.
As the season picks up, the Bagley Farmers Market will be teaming with all sorts of fruits and vegetables throughout the season.
