Oklee Legion Auxiliary, Unit 159, Celebrates American Education Week

The Oklee Unit 159 American Legion Auxiliary is celebrating American Education Week by honoring RLCC faculty and staff. American Education Week is recognized nationwide from November 16th to November 20th. On Wednesday, November 18th, the ALA will be serving cupcakes and coffee to the faculty and all staff at RLCC in appreciation for their contributions to our students quality education.

American Education Week was first celebrated in 1921, and after WWII took on the important mission to raise American literacy.  It now serves as an opportunity to recognize the great things schools do and to honor individuals who make a difference in our children’s quality education.  American Education Week is a good reminder to thank our staff and faculty year round for making a difference in our children’s lives by educating and caring for them.
