"Reading is Timeless" Summer Reading Program Activities Scheduled at the Bagley Public Library
MOORHEAD, MINNESOTA - The Bagley Public Library is inviting young readers to participate in Lake Agassiz Regional Library's "Reading is Timeless" Summer Reading Program, which includes a jam-packed lineup of free events and activities for youth.
The following activities will be offered at the Bagley Public Library in The Loop in July:
- Camp Read-a-Lot with Mis Julia
Wednesday, July 8 from 10-11 a.m.
Stories are timeless! Explore classic tales, like "Town Mouse, Country Mouse", in a fun way with masks, finger puppets and flannel boards with Camp Read-a-Lot featuring Miss Julia. - Learning is Timeless with the Clearwater County Historical Society
Wednesday, July 15 from 10-11 a.m.
Join the Clearwater County Historical Society to learn about what life was like for the first settlers in Clearwater County, including what school was like for pioneer children in the early 1900s. - Nature is Timeless with Itasca State Park
Wednesday, July 22 from 10-11 a.m.
Every day in nature is special. Join a naturalist from Itasca State Park to explore plants and animals and how to track nature's timeless calendar. - Pint Size Polkas
Wednesday, June 29 from 10-10:45 a.m.
Polka enthusiasts of all ages will enjoy clapping and singing along to the music in this interactive program which will also include magic, comedy and history as we travel back in time to visit heroes and legends of the past, like Amelia Earhart, Casey Jones, and Paul Bunyan. This program is geared toward children ages 5-11 but all ages are welcome to join the fun. Admission is free thanks to funding from the Minnesota Arts & Cultural Heritage Fund.
These programs are offered free-of-charge. The Bagley Public Library is located at 79 Spencer Ave. SW.
