Winners announced for fishing trips

The Gonvick American Legion recently held a “Summer Fishing” fund raising raffle offering three guided trips with The Sportsman Lodge of Rainy River, Lake of the Woods resort. The three winners were drawn Saturday night at the Gonvick Lions Rodeo Show.

Tasha Bakke of Gonvick won the first prize, Denise Anderson of Red Lake Falls won the second prize and Roger Lundmark of Clearbrook won the third prize. The Prizes were presented individually to the winners on Monday, July 18th and there were three happy people planning their respective trips.

The Gonvick American Legions raffle would not have been possible without the help of the merchants of Bagley, Brooks, Gonvick. Gully, Leonard and Shevlin who helped sell so many tickets for them. All funds raised from the American Legion Charitable Gambling are used locally for civic and veterans programs.
