Win-E-Mac School District Spelling Bee winners

The 2018 Win-E-Mac School District Spelling Bee was held at 8:45 on Tuesday, January 30th at the Arts & Events Center. Sixteen spellers--four each from fifth through eighth grades--were selected to compete. In the end, Kianna Tadman, a sixth grader, was the champion and will be going on to compete at the Regional Spelling Bee on February 7th at Northland Community and Technical College in Thief River Falls. Taking second and third places, respectively, were Monania Erofeeff and Anton Hickman, both in eighth grade. In all, 92 words were used over the course of 15 rounds. The championship word was "marmalade".
