Who is running? That is a good question

I have wondered that myself and so I went looking for this information. Some came from the State General Election Ballot for Oklee, the ballot for Polk County and the rest I gathered from the Secretary of State website.

Voting in elections is a very important responsibility of every citizen of the United States. If you haven’t registered, it isn’t too late. In Minnesota you can register on the day of the election. If your county or city votes by mail, you need to get registered as soon as possible so they can mail you a ballot or you will have to pick one up. 

As far as I know, only felons are not allowed to vote unless the courts have given them their right back to vote. Check with your County Auditor’s office or the Secretary of State’s website for the information you need to see if you qualify.

Whether you lean right or left, you need to vote. It is your right and your obligation. If you don’t vote, you shouldn’t have the right to complain if things don’t go the way you want.

Also many people feel their vote doesn’t count. That is absolutely false. Your vote counts. We are a democracy and that gives you the right to elect people to represent you. Now you may not always get the person or party you wanted into office, but you can say you tried. You an try again at the next election if your party or person didn’t get in. But not to vote or make excuses for not voting is basically putting your head in the sand.
