Tim Westrum returning to his roots in the area

Timothy Westrum says that the time has finally arrived when he feels he has exhausted his zeal for employment. He will be retiring on June 1, 2017 and is looking forward to moving back home to Clearbrook or someplace close by.
His supervisor and friends are planning a retirement party at the Southwest University Park, in downtown El Paso, Texas. That is the home of the Pacific Coast League Champions, El Paso Chihuahuas. They are the AAA affiliate of the San Diego Padres baseball team. The party is planned for April 21, 2017, beginning at 6:00 p.m. That night the Chihuahuas are hosting the Tacoma Rainiers, the AAA affiliate of the Seattle Mariners baseball team.
He has spent the last 39 years and 4 months working for the United States Government. 18 years and 8 months of active duty in the United States Army and 20 years and 8 months of civil service. His Basic Training and Advanced Individual Training was at Ft. Lewis, WA, Ft. Dix, NJ and Ft. Hamilton, NY. From 1978 to 1995 he was an Admin Specialist and Personnel Sergeant at Seoul, South Korea, Ft. Huachuca, AZ,. St. Louis, MO, Bamberg, West Germany, Ft. Bliss, TX and Saudi Arabia.
He was at Cam Ranh Bay, South Vietnam from March 1971 to January 1972. From December 1990 to August 1991 he spent time at Log Base “C”, Saudi Arabia, for Desert Shield and Desert Storm.
After graduation from Clearbrook High School he went to Fergus Falls Community College where he received an Associate of Arts degree in General Business Management. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management and a minor in Psychology from Bemidji State University.
Tim worked at the Northern State Bank in Gonvick before heading to El Paso, TX where he worked security jobs and for the El Paso Diablos, a AA minor League Baseball team. He was an Education Technician in Administration, Phase 2 with the United States Army Graduate Program in Anesthesia Nursing at William Beaumont Army Medical Center in El Paso, TX. He took a Certified Registered Nursing Course at the United States Army Graduate Program to become a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist.
His military medals include a Bronze Star, four Army Commendation Medals, four Army Achievement Medals, Campaign Ribbons and Good Conduct Army Service Ribbons.
Tim is divorced and his two sons. His oldest son, Kenneth, is in the United States Air Force at Nellis Air Force Base, North of Las Vegas, NV. He is married and has one son and one daughter. His line of expertise is in Explosive Ordnance Disposal. His youngest son, Donald, is living at home. He has been having a great amount of back trouble which has been holding him back in the job market. Both sons have Bachelor of Science degrees.
