Sunday was a great day for a parade in Mac!

For the first time since Roy Ostenaa, Mary Pulford and Steve Urness have been putting on the Tractor Parade in McIntosh, it was rained out.
First delayed on Saturday, August 27th, thinking the rain would pass, the drivers of the tractors huddled under the picnic shelter at Erickson Park and the parade onlookers cruised the streets, sat under awnings and watched the rain continue to fall.
The 3 coordinators decided to postpone the events. Even the only indoor event, the quilt show at the Community Center was quiet without anyone stopping, due to the rain storm.
The antique tractor parade was rescheduled for the following day, Sunday, August 28th. With the sun shining and the streets crowded with onlookers, the tractors, about 90 of them, made their way through the streets of McIntosh.
The quilt show was also a success on Sunday when the doors reopened for everyone to visit and appreciate the hard work and creativity of our local quilters.
The Kiddie Pedal pull, sponsored by the Polar Beach Snowmobile Club will take place during Craft and Market Day in McIntosh on Saturday, September 17th. The event will still take place in front of the Fire Hall.
The Tractor Day coordinators are still planning a Tractor Pull that was also cancelled on Saturday due to the rain. They say possibly in late September.
Stay tuned to the McIntosh Times as more details will follow.

More tractor pictures will be in the Image Gallery this week.
