Spotlight on Scholarship Awards Given to RLCC Students

The Minnesota State High School League recently awarded 35 Spotlight on Scholarship certificates to Red Lake County Central High School students in grades 9-12 for their achievements in the classroom and their participation in fine arts and athletics during the 2018-2019 fall season.
Spotlight on Scholarship is a year-round recognition program sponsored by the Minnesota High School League since 1995. The Spotlight on Scholarship certificates are given to students who participate in varsity fine arts and athletic activities and achieve a grade-point average of 3.0 or higher.
Receiving Spotlight on Scholarship certificates from the RLCC volleyball team were: Kia Bachand, Calyssa Eskeli, Katelyn Suchy, Sydnie Gunderson, Tanisha Srnsky, Sidney Olson, Jenna Pahlen, Cari Bachand, Kjerstin Nelson, Julia Bernstein, Lacey Pendelton, Leah Peterson, Jayden Iverson, Lillian Hanson, Karena Melby, Natalia Whalen, Marissa Schiebe, Brandie DeHate, Emily Kolstoe, Janae Olson, Bailey Sherman, Sophia Linder, Leilah VanDam, and Taya Morinville.
The following students were given Spotlight on Scholarship certificates for football: Derek Peterson, Connor Lambert, Adrien Verbout, Zach Benson, Austin Jensen, Chris Longtin, Tyler Eskeli, Trent Goulet, Jed Duden, George Duden, and Gunnar Thompson.
