After 27 years, Sheree Breckel will celebrate her retirement from First National Bank in McIntosh.
Sheree and her husband, Mike moved to McIntosh from Barney, North Dakota in 1989 for a job Mike had taken at the Tri-Coop Association (Rosebud) in Fosston.
Sheree first started working for Dick Holen at the grocery store, and then after two years, she was offered a job at the Bank.
Sheree was hired by then bank Vice President, Bob Hulst. Throughout the years, Sheree has worked for 3 Vice Presidents, Bob, Darrell Johnson and currently Philip Lee. She said each one of these men have been wonderful to work with.
Sheree says her retirement will be bittersweet as she will miss seeing everyone on a daily basis especially her amazing co-workers, as over the years, they have all formed a very close bond. Yet, she knows they will all be friends for life.
One of Sheree's fondest memories is a time when the staff would play games during their afternoon coffee. The tradition was started by John Keller and she said it was always a lot of fun. Each employee would take turns bringing in a fun, quick game to play together.
Working at the bank for the past 27 years has been a big part of Sheree's life, a part that she truly enjoyed. She will definitely miss her job, but is also excited for a new chapter in her life, spending more time with her family, especially her children and grandchildren and she is hoping that she and Mike will be able to do more traveling in the near future.
Join the party for Sheree on Friday, December 14th in conjunction with the First National Bank Christmas Open House held from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm with cake and other refreshments.
There will also be an Open House at King Town Mutual insurance company during the same hours, as well as events and Open Houses at Neil's Quality Meats and More and Minnesota Rust.
