In Oklee: Santa and Mrs. Claus will be stopping in Oklee on Saturday, December 1st. The day begins with the Salem WELCA Christmas Cookie Sale at the Oklee Community Hall in Oklee, so be sure to stop in and pick up some cookies and other homemade goodies. Come early for best selection!
There will be a Sing-A-Long with Sydney Melby at 10:00 a.m.. Be sure to bring the kids in to join her and get in the Christmas Spirit!! Adults one and all are encouraged to sing-a-long too!
Santa and Mrs. Claus are expected to arrive at the Oklee Community Hall at 10:30 a.m. After visiting with Santa and Mrs. Claus, treat bags from the Oklee Community Club will be handed out and there will be Arts & Crafts for the children to do with Joni Bjerklie.
There will be a coloring contest once again this year. Pages are being sent home with the children so look for those in the school bags. Prizes for the 1st & 2nd places of 3 different age groups will be awarded that day. Colored papers can be turned in at D & R Grocery before December 1st or bring in on Saturday December 1st before 10 a.m. to the Community Hall. Be sure to fill out the name information before turning them in.
There are other prizes (sleds, mittens) that will be given away by the Oklee Community Club so be sure to sign up and stick around for those. Look for the table in the Hall.
Goodies, Coffee and Cider will be served to all. Sponsored by the Oklee Community Club. Come and share in the Christmas Spirit!!
In Plummer: December 13th is the day of fun with the Holiday Train coming to town with musical show, Santa visiting with the children, the museum will be open and food donation are being accepted once again. More details later.
In Brooks: Santa Day will be on December 2nd. It will be held at the Community Center and the doors open at 4:30, Everyone is welcome and the meal will be served at 5:00pm, the prizes will be given 5:30, and the big attraction, Santa will come at 6:00 pm. Every year this gets bigger and better. And who doesn’t like Santa Claus?
