Salo signed, sealed, delivered

Jason and Courtney (Vraa) Salo live in rural Goodridge. Jason works full time with MN Dot, based out of Grygla, and Courtney works full time at Digi-Key, in Thief River Falls, as a Media Design Specialist. They also have two young daughters, Chesney and Jorja. Sounds busy enough, right? Wrong. The ambitious Salos have also added a successful and busy sign making business to the mix!
In 2004, Jason and Courtney started their business, Salo Signs. Located 2 miles east of Goodridge, Salo Signs & More is a custom sign company and a source for custom decorated apparel. They offer quality signs and design services for personal and business needs. The type of signs provided include indoor and outdoor signage, banners, vehicle lettering, and much more.
In 2013, the Salos expanded their business by adding custom decorated apparel and embroidery, which has become a huge asset to the business. The Goodridge and Grygla Schools both offer a large variety of Charger clothing, courtesy of the Salo’s creative and custom designs. Due to this, the fall and winter orders for the schools tend to be the busiest times for Jason and Courtney. Although Courtney mentioned they haven’t hit a slow period yet; they just keep getting busier and busier!
“Ideally, we would like for Salo Signs to be our only job, but only time will tell. We plan to add more equipment in the future to help our business run more efficiently,” she stated.
Both Jason and Courtney have a Sign Lettering & Design degree obtained from Northwest Technical College in Detroit Lakes, MN. The two have also worked in various sign companies prior to Salo Signs, bringing much experience to the table. When placing an order, if you don’t have a logo, they will custom design one for you to fit your needs.
With a bright and busy future ahead of them, it’s clear the Salos have started something that won’t be slowing down anytime soon. Salo Signs are all around us; the company serves many area towns, which include sign and/or clothing orders for various schools, sports groups, farms, businesses, friends and neighbors.
