Salo among local poster winners

Chesney Salo, a Goodridge 6th grader, daughter of Jason and Courtney Salo, was one of the three poster winners for the Pennington Soil & Water Conservation District poster contest that was held recently. The 2019 theme was “Life in the Soil: Dig Deeper.” Pennington County 5th and 6th grade students listened to a presentation about soil and learned why good soil health is so important. They also discussed ways they can help protect the soil. Posters were then created and judged on the students’ conservation message, visual appearance and originality.
