Salem WELCA Members Attend Convention at Fair Hills Resort

Fair Hills Resort near Detroit Lakes, MN was the site of the 30th annual convention of NW MN Synodical Women’s Convention. Attending the convention on Friday, Sept 15, from Salem Church, rural Oklee, were Diane Kolstoe, Phyllis Linder, Ginny Stoneouse, Alice Hofstad, Irene Rosten, and Ellen Hegge.

The day began with a worship service, followed by break out sessions, an inspiring Bible study by Pastor Laurie Natwick that addressed the convention theme of Be Kind (Ephesians 4:32). Kevin Wallevand, WDAY, was the keynote speaker. He spoke on Sexual Human Trafficking happening in Minnesota and North Dakota.  The day ended with the announcement of the eight Mary Magdalene Award winners, one winner for each conference in the NW MN Synod.  Irene Rosten won for Conference two.
