Salem Celebrates their RLCC Graduates with a Drive-thru Reception

On Sunday, May 17, Salem Church held a drive thru reception for their high school graduates. The short program was held outside on the north side of the church while folks stayed in their cars or near them, keeping in mind the social distancing of the day.
The program began with Erika Larson singing Jesus Loves Me, followed by a prayer and remarks from Pastor Linda Molitor. Alice Hofstad presented the WELCA Scholarship to Sophia Linder followed by presentation of gifts to the graduates—Sophia Linder and Sidney Olson.
The girls received quilts from the WELCA. Irene Rosten and Shirley Dessellier made the quilts. After Pastor Linda led everyone in the Lord’s Prayer, Erika sang the “Irish Blessing”.
Many congratulations were given to the graduates as cars proceeded to circle the church, honking in celebration. Check out the Oklee Lutheran Parish Facebook page for video of the event.
