RLCC Graduation is May 22

Red Lake County Central’s Class of 2015 Graduation is Friday, May 22 at 7:00 pm at the RLCC High School gymnasium in Oklee. The top three seniors giving addresses will be Mickala Morinville, daughter of Scott and Judy Morinville; Brittney Bray, daughter of Tom and Nancy Bray; and Sierra Swenson, daughter of Brent and Monica Swenson.
The class motto is “Do not go where the path may lead; Go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson. Their class colors are Black, Royal Blue, and Grey, and the class flower is the daisy tipped blue.
Eighteen seniors will be graduating: Ric Ven Auman**, Brittney Bray**, Timothy Christensen, Jordan Finseth, Cody Gagner**, Brady Grove**, James Hanson, Kayla Jaeger**, Brittany Kelley, Cameron Lundeen*, Mickala Morinville**, Anna Pahlen*, Mikayla Paradis**, Brian Roue**, Cory Schmitz*, Sierra Swenson**, Madison Thompson, and Kaytlin Trontvedt**. (** designates High Honors Students GPA – 3.5-3.99 and * designates Honor Students GPA – 3.00-3.49)
Honor Guards from the junior class are Austin Waliser and Holly Vettleson, and Ushers-Usherettes from junior class include Shelby Haugen, Devin Lambert, Kayla Olson and Samantha Smith. Superintendent James Guetter, and RLCC School Board members Mr. Tom Bray, Mrs. Danielle Paradis, and Mrs. Darby Trontvedt will be presenting the diplomas.
For musical selections, Sierra Swenson and Ric Ven Auman will be performing a duet “I’m On My Way” by Phil Collins, and the Senior Class will be singing “Compass” by Lady Antebellum. Peggy Miller will play the processional of “Pomp and Circumstance” by Edward Elgar and will also be doing the Recessional. The colors will be presented by the Oklee American Legion Post #159.
