RLCC gives back with helping hands

Day of Caring is an opportunity for the students at Red Lake County Central High School to show their appreciation for the communities and individuals that support us in so many ways such as attending our sporting events, theater acts, band and choir concerts, and much more. Students at RLCC HS showed their appreciation by raking people’s yard, cleaning their yard, trimming branches, washing windows and many other things that people had requested that the students could do to help them get fall tasks done.
It is a day that students lend helping hands to people who need assistance with yard and house work. Day of Caring began in the spring of 2006 and continued till the spring of 2015. The last two years RLCC has done Day of Caring in the fall.
To date the sponsors of Day of Caring include: Garden Valley Telephone, Paradis Mail Service, Dick’s Backhoe Service, Dr. Don Hagen, Oklee Quilting, D&K Corner Bar, Red Lake County Co-op, Plummer Agency, TJ’s, Oklee Lumber, Thrivent (Action Team), Ultima Bank, Earl and Bergit Swenson, and D&R Grocery. RLCC is thankful for the help and support provided by the sponsors to make Day of Caring possible.
