RLC Rebels boys’ 4x 800 sets new team record at the Mahnomen/Waubun Meet

The Red Lake County Rebels went to Mahnomen for the Mahnomen/Waubun Thunderbird Invite Meet on Thursday, May 2nd. The boys’ 4x800 relay team including Blane Schmitz, Brody Moen, Brock Tvedt, and Brenden Larson broke the team record with a time of 9:37.68. The previous record of 9:44.62 was held by Mark Bachand, Andy Bertilrud, Chris Matzke, and Jesse Olson since 2004.
The girls’ team finished in fourth place. Individual and relay results for the RLC girls’ team include the following:
100 Hurdles- 1st place: MaKenzie Williams 16.85 and tied for 8th place: Marissa Schiebe 18.88
1600 Meter- 4th place: Clara Girdler 6:18.79 and 5th place: Kjerstin Nelson 6:38.45
300 Hurdles- 5th place: Marissa Schiebe 57.93
4x800 Meter Relay- 4th place: Aurimy Olson, Maisy Hoefer, Clara Girdler, and Kjerstin Nelson 12:19.66
4x100 Meter Relay- 1st place: AJ Jones, Arielle Rude, MaKenzie Williams, and Hollie Knott 54.79
4x200 Meter Relay- 3rd place: AJ Jones, Arielle Rude, Kia Bachand, and Hollie Knott 1:57.04
4x400 Meter Relay- 2nd place: Marissa Schiebe, Kjerstin Nelson, Kia Bachand, and Hollie Knott 4:33.43
Triple Jump- 5th place: MaKenzie Williams 31’2 ¼” and 7th place: Clara Girdler 28’11 ½”
High Jump- 3rd place: MaKenzie Williams 4’6” and tied for 8th place: Clara Girdler 4’2”
