Red Lake County Central’s Class of 2015

It was a beautiful evening for a graduation ceremony, with fair weather and temperatures.
The gymnasium filled with parents, grandparents, and other relatives along with friends of the families to celebrate the graduation of the Class of 2015.
The American Legion Post #159 presented the Colors and the processional of "Pomp and Circumstance" by Edward Elgar was played by Peggy Miller as the 18 students marched up the stage.
Principal Randall Pederson welcomed everyone and announced Mickala Morinville, the first speaker of the night.
Morinville, who couldn't graduate last year because of a medical issue, thanked the class for accepting her into their class and making her feel welcome.
A duet, "I'm On My Way" by Phil Collins was sung by Sierra Swenson and Ric Ven Auman, accompanied by Eric Mickelson on guitar.
The second address was given by Brittney Bray and she spoke of remembrances of all the years together they shared and the joining of the two districts, changing the class size from 10 to 20 students.
Sierra Swenson was the third speaker of the evening and told of the welcoming feeling she received when moving here, and how great small town schools are.
A musical number "Compass" as sung by Lady Antebellum was sung by the Senior Class, followed by the Presentation of Flowers.
The Class of 2015 Video was played and then came the moment the seniors were waiting for, recieving their diplomas.
Pederson announced that the class had accomplished all the requirements to graduate and Superintendent James Guetter along with Board Members, Tom Bray, Danielle Paradis and Darby Trontvedt handed out the diploma.
The evenings ceremony came to a close, the American Legion retired the Colors and everyone gathered outside to congratulate the seniors and wish them well in their futures.
