Project Linus produced 21 quilts to be donated

On March 4th, quite a few gals gathered at Oklee Quilting to work on creating quilts for Project Linus, providing security through blankets.
Project Linus has 293 chapters representing all fifty states. As a result of the combined efforts of dedicated “blanketeers” over 5,000,000 blankets have been donated to children in crises since 1998. The Northern Minnesota Chapter has donated over 15,700 blankets since 2005.
Project Linus welcomes blankets of all styles, including fleece blankets, tied comforters, quilts, crocheted or knitted afghans done in child-friendly colors and material. All blackets must be new, homemade, washable, and smoke and pet free as well as chemical free (no strong detergents, softeners or fabric sheets. Cotton, flannel and fleece are acceptable fabrics.
Preferred sizes are at least 40 x 40 inches to to 50 x 72 inches, since the donate to children ages from infant to 18 years old.
