Patrick Bukowski is the new agronomist for the Gully Tri-Coop

Patrick Bukowski is the new agronomist for the Gully Tri-Coop. He grew up in southern Minnesota in the little town of Clarkfield. After graduating high school, he continued his education at SDSU in Brookings, SD. Patrick graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Ag Business. He isan avid outdoorsman that enjoys hunting, fishing, and almost anything outside.

Patrick says in a recent Gully Coop newsletter, “Hello everyone! With spring creeping closer and closer, we have great pricing on our NorthStar Seed. Just a friendly reminder, we also offer discount for new customers. Investing into NorthStar Seed is more than just a typical seed sale. Customers that buy NorthStar Seed get high levels of scouting, as it’s more exciting watching our products make your success. We also plan on having another plot this year which is a huge advantage for all of you, so you can see different varieties first hand and how they perform.

With Spring planting fast approaching, customers should think about considering treating both wheat and soybean seed for early planting. Treating your seed will help with cold/wet planting conditions. Our seed treatment lineup will be, Warden Cereals II, Warden RTA fungicide, Nitro Shield insecticide, and Primo inoculant. Warden Cereals II is a newer redefined product that we introduced last year. It is a combination of three fungicides for wide spectrum of wheat disease control. The newest and most exciting part of warden Cereals II is the SDHI inhibitor that protects against Rhizoctonia. Considering that early planting is likely, it is recommended for growers to treat seed for optimal performance.

Another product that was new last year and we will continue to have is the R7 tool.  The R7 is a decision ag solution that provides performance information and field data to help develop precision variable-rate prescriptions. R7 tool features satellite imagery so you can view field maps with historical data, soil variability and other important information growers are looking for.  This accommodation will give customers options for optimal decisions, for the future and now.
