One Act Play Cast Presented “Alice” in contest

Red Lake County Central High Schools One Act Play cast has been rehearsing for the competition which was held in Bagley on Saturday, January 30th. The winner then advances to the competition on February 6th in Crookston.

The cast performed a dramatization of Lewis Carroll’s “Alice and Wonderland” and “Through the Looking Glass” written by Jerome McDonough. Michael Swenson, the director for the play, says “this version is fun to watch.” 

Many of the actors and actresses play more than one role in the play. Kjersten Walton plays the role of Carrol/Jane and Cook, Miranda Magnell (Alice), Sydney Melby (Tree, Queen of Hearts, Walrus, and Cook), Kara Longtin (Caterpillar, Dodo, Cheshire Cat, and Croquet Ball), Heather Longtin (Tiger Lily Rose, Baby, and Eaglet), Erin Jones (Mouse and Dormouse, Gardener, and Tree), Jayden Fore (Mad Hatter, Battling Squire, Jury, and Wicket), Jade Person (Queen Mother, Duchess, Tree, and Jury), Natalie Aakhus (March Hare, Fury, Tree, Wickett), Tom Nelson (Tweedle Dum, White Rabbit, and Jabberwock), David Clifton (Violet/Daisy, and Carpenter), and Nick Piersol (Pigeon, Knave of Hearts, and Tweedle Dee.)
