Oklee Quilting and Loretta Syrtveit Celebrate 50 years

On Friday afternoon, July 15th, Oklee Quilting held a celebration honoring Loretta (Flatgard) Syrtveit 50 years involvement in the quilting business.
As written in last week's paper, she started working for Oklee Manufacturing Company and eventually purchased the business, renaming it Oklee Quilting Supply, Inc.
Many friends and neighbor in addtion to many customers, past and present stopped by on Friday after noon for a time of reflection and visiting.
Oklee Quilting had a display of news paper articles, OMC financial statements and photo graphs posted on one of the walls of their newly decorated sewing room where class on quilting and other projects are held.
Cake, homemade donuts, fruit, veggies were available for people to enjoy with their coffee or water.
Some of the visitors were from out the area and have been customers for many years.
