Sat., May 9 – Uffda Day at the Pioneer Village, 11 AM to 4 PM. $3 per person. Viking
reenactments, Norwegian foods, Childrens’ author Barb Linert, and more.
Tues., May 12 – Movie at the NCTC Auditorium, 7:00 PM. “The Monuments Men.”
Based on a true story, this action-drama follows an unlikely platoon of art historians, curators,
and architects tasked by FDR to rescue artistic masterpieces stolen by the Nazis
during WWII. The team races against time to stop Hitler from destroying Western civilization's
greatest achievements. The major motion picture boasts an all-star cast. Freewill
Donation.
Wed., May 13 – Syttende Mai catered dinner at the Eagles. Serving buffet style 6:00-
7:00 PM. Pork chops, torsk, mashed potatoes/gravy, vegetable, roll, and other Norwegian
delicacies. $20.00 per person. Reservations MUST be made by May 9 by calling 218-686-

Thurs., May 14 – Sandra Bestland presentations. Redeemer Church, 11:30 AM. "Norwegian
women who immigrated to America with courage and fortitude in the 17th century”
and "Lives and loves of Norwegian women who immigrated to America in the 19th century.”
Lunch served between the two talks. Quiche, potatoes in parsley and butter,
spinach/strawberry salad, dinner roll, dessert, beverages. $15 per person.
Fri., May 15 – Syttende Mai Open House at Northern State Bank, 10 AM – 3 PM.
Coffee and Norwegian goodies by the Sons of Norway. Music by Cathy Erickson. All welcome
